Opinions about kitchen cabinets made in China? I have an opportunity to purchase for a good price. Thanks?

Are the Kitchen cabinets made in China of a good, great or poor quality? Does anyone have Chinese kitchen cabinets? The showroom looks good, but I don't know how they are in reality.

1. The following questions need to be asked:1) what are they made of? If they are press board -RUN. 2) what hardware is used to hang them? If it looks cheap, it wont stand up to the weight. 3) how thick are they? and 4) if it too good to pass up- there is a reason!
2. Kitchen cabinets whether made in Britain or China are all the same.The only difference you would find ,is the price. If you really want a to go for quality, then get a local carpenter to build it for you
3. If the Chinese furniture that I work on every day is any indication, I would look elsewhere.
4. It really depends on your budget. You get what you pay for in cabinetry. Some of the cabinets I have seen from China are made of the same quality woods as what comes out of the USA and they are half the price. Most all boxes and shelves are particle board unless you buying top of the line from any manufacture. Particle board has it's purpose and works just fine but should not be used for drawer boxes and the front faces unless you have a very low budget. Wood drawer fronts and doors are only going to get better from other countries by finishing techniques and hands on labor vs. China where labor is much less and the fine detail is not the same. IMO the high end cabinets I have seen from China mimic the very best from the USA at 1/2 the cost and only a trained eye can tell. There are 400 or more cabinet companies so who really looks for a brand anymore unless you want the best of the best. Cabinets are not like cars where a brand is chosen for a reason.
