low buget room ideas?

1. I did not go to look at the web site you stated. But this is a great look for a girls bedroom. I did 3 walls with horazontial stripes of paint going around the center area of the room. The cost was cheap, just paint and tape and yes the time it takes. I used a level to tape the lines straight. You said she wanted blues, my daughter wanted brights,(orange,pink,blue, apple green, purple) . The 4th wall we painted purple, one of the colors in the small rows going around the room. Than we used a feather duster and applied the other colors used in the stripes in the room. it is a great look and my daughter is now a college student and still loves the look so no need to change it after a short time as your daughter grows up. No need to buy full gallons of paint for the stripes, it takes very little. Also we used different finish( egg shell, smi-gloss) types of paints for the diff. colors of strpes. Look at stores discounted oops color cans, to save $$ on paints.
2. So she likes blue and white : Why don't you do it yourself with her help ? You can get some deep blue paint , some 'liberty' printed paper (Laura Ashey type), some pictures of her and some glue varnish specific for hurniture.You can cover her furniture with pictures she likes. Start to paint her bedsides in blue and carry on if she/you like the results. On large surfaces, photocopy printed wall paper and stick them with varnish glue. Also photocopy picture of her many times and add them to the layout. You can buy huge shopping bags in blue to save her puppies and little girl things Design your own blue pele-mele to add some extra photos of friends and family on the wall. A blue carpet will finish it all with blue accessories (lamps, boxes, etc) It will not cost you a lot especially if you wait and look for garage sales, ebay, antiques, ... enjoy doing it :))))
