Cheap pack of wired shelving? Hey guys, I got a project going, I need cheap WIRED shelves, "like wardrobe shelving" basically like shelves with a lot of spaces in it for air/light to seep through easily , i dont care how flimsy they are doesn't need to nothing TOP OF THE LINE or HEAVY DUTY QUALITY , just looking for cheap... my exact measurements are 27" long, & 14" wide , basically 1'x2' (12"x24") just to round the numbers out, anyone know where I could find anything like this? I'm looking for like a 6 pack CHEAP can't emphasize that enough lol, thanks guys Basically for a Greenhouse type setup, I constructed the GH myself, just need the shelving , thats why it needs to have plenty of holes. spaces in it for light/air , thats why I think Wired shelving is the obvious choice. I see items on the web, on ebay & local stores like Lowes & such, but they go for about 20 bucks a pop. Thats too much for what I need.
DIY built in wardrobe removal? Hi, I currently own a large two door built in wardrobe with shelving, I would like to remove this to create more space. Is there anyway for me to do this by myself and with limited cost involved? Has anyone got a step by step guide that I may be able to follow? Thank you for your time

Where can I get a custom-made wardrobe (UK)? My new apartment has a large built-in wardrobe, but I'd like some extra space for my many, many clothes! There is a narrow alcove in the room, probably about 60-70cm wide and deep enough to hang clothing. At the moment it's just wasted space! I've tried IKEA, but all their 'custom' wardobes seem to be only 50cm or over 100cm wide. I'd like to fit a hanging rail and shelving in there and then a frosted glass door to hide it all away. Does anyone know of any companies that will make built-in wardrobes to measure? Thanks! xx Emmie

Am I been selfish or my brother? I live with my Mum, Brother, Step dad and Grandad. I have the smallest room, but it is still a good size. I want to swap rooms with my little brother who is eight as I don't have enough room. My mum suggested it and I agreed but my brother doesn't want to and threw a tantrum over it. However, I have an easel, single bed, 1 big and small wardrobe, a shelving unit for my tv and draws x2. So it can fit alot but my room is fairly cramped. Plus I am 17 and my bf stays over on weekends and in the holidays but I only have a single bed because I don't have room for a double. Plus my room is above my Gran dad's, and as I stay up late I wake him up. I also want a wooden floor as I am an art student and always get my carpet dirty, my brothers room has one. It would be great if we could swap rooms as his is quite a bit bigger and he has lots of left over space so he could fit in my room. But he's upset and says he doesn't want too so I feel guilty. My Step Dad is building him a play room so he will have 2 bedrooms either way. Am I been selfish for making him change bredroom or is he been selfish as I need the space more than him?

Real Estate Disclosure? Purchased a home in Pennsylvania two years ago. It was purchased from a "friend of the family" and a home inspection was not done. Some wardrobes and shelving were left in the basement and last week I was doing some re-arranging and found that these pieces were covering up some fairly major foundation issues. The seller had provided a disclosure but these issues were not disclosed. I am certain they were aware of the issues. When I began to look closely I can see where there had been some attempts at fixing the problem. Obviously I take a large part of the responsibility for not getting a home inspection. Does the seller bear any responsibilty, and if so, is there recourse? I have recieved one estimate for repairs and it is over $30,000. Thanks Mac

I need a bed room style? Well my bed room is a little boring now and I need a change. I have this FABULOUS mirror that's old fashioned looking. Its blue and where bits of the blue paint has flaked off theres gold underneath. I have a tall shelving unit that's white and I have a double bed, chest of draws, double wardrobe and a desk. The idea has to be quite easy and cheap. If you have some pictures of a bedroom you think I may like PLEASE send me the link for it! Thanks ....x
Room decorating dilemma!? I have been trying to redecorate my room for quite some time now. I have lime green walls, a white ceiling, off-white carpet, medium-dark brown trim and doors (3 doors including closet), white blinds, a different medium shade of trim around the windows, a tan woven rug with a deep brown outline, 2 light birch wardrobes and 2 shelve units, along with an off white desk. As you can tell it is pretty mixed up. I am totally stumped on what to do. I want to keep the birch and I have to keep the carpet. Without having to repaint wood and whatever does anyone have any ideas? I am looking for a relaxed, sort of tropical place where I can still hang out in with my friends. It would be easiest to keep the walls green as well but if necessary i can change.
How To: Pullout drawers for behind doors with hinges? I'm wondering if it is possible to put a pullout drawer behind a door with hinges. (i.e. a wardrobe/armoire) I currently have the ANEBODA wardrobe from Ikea. I want to convert it into a shelving/drawer unit because i no longer need it as a closet. I'm okay with making more holes in it. I need to know if there is a certain kind of drawer that works well for behind doors with hinges. Preferably from Ikea however, anywhere is okay. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90121762 This is ^ the wardrobe. Thank you for any and all help!

Is this scene familiar to any of you? Comments and critique are welcome, thanks? Suggested category- Dining Out in New York, yes please, I'll have some of that. Force 10 If by chance you care to glance and peep in Beth's room while she sleeps, a hurricane has swept a path and littered wreckage piles up deep. All her garments rumpled, crumpled, stacked upon a ransacked bed. Wardrobe doors swing free from hinges, loosened when composure fled. Empty shelving, cleared of old books, dumped upon the dark wood floor. All her soft toys in the corner, from her schoolbag papers pour. Half-mast curtains,lamp-shades tilted broken beads which look like mine. See my long forgotten lipstick, safe inside her pink-walled shrine. Boots and shoes, how many are there? East or west the pairs are tossed. All goods classified as missing have appeared, they've not been lost. In the morning, hear a whistle. watch the red card handed out. She'll be clearing up the chaos, on her face, no doubt a pout.
I would like more storage...? Hey everyone, im really sorry that this is a really long question but here I go. So my bedroom I REALLY small and I have a double bed and a built in wardrobe which I hope to change ( I asked a question about that not long ago) and I have a dresser in my wardrobe which is just outside my door and I was hoping I could shift it over to the other side of my wardrobe but I have a tall boy in there. So I have boxes as shelves along the back wall where my bed is and I have my bed move to one side of my room, on the other side I have my little table and that is all I can fit :( so I have a book shelf on the right side of my door and it gets really annoying :/ so I'm getting rid of that.. If u check out my other question (http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AoQ5WvJ2N6K_9NVt.0V99DLc4yA5;_ylv=3?qid=20110712082111AAi1fMO)I want like more storage like shelving and little slots for clothes so I can get rid of my tll boy. So yeah thanks for ready this and if u have any ideas that would be awesome.. Byeeee :) also I'll try and put up some photos when I get back home of my bedroom :D
Green mould on new skirting board? We've recently had a garage extension built to the side of our bungalow. This included having our bedroom extended by a metre. In this new section between the bedroom and the garage I keep getting green mould appearing on the skirting board. It's only been in a few weeks. I hired a dehumidifier for a week to dry out the building work but the mould has come back where i used bleach to get rid of it initially. The damp proofing has been done correctly and we didn't have problems like this before. I'm wondering if it is the skirting board itself and where it wa stored before it was put in. Also the skirting was put on before the top layer of concrete was added in this metre wide section... This extension to the bedroom is to be a built in wardrobe so I need to get this sorted before I put in the shelving. Any thoughts appreciated.

Pregnancy RAGE!! Anyone else feel like throttling their husband? I am 6 weeks pregnant and have spent the whole day having to lie down because if I move I will throw up, whilst trying to entertain my 5 year old who is on her early easter hols from school. I have been building a new shelving unit her cupboard and finally this evening managed to stop heaving enough to transfer the clothes from the old rickety wardrobe to the new cupboard. My dear hubby comes home, complaining of a slight headache and flops 'woe is me style' on the sofa, I ask him very nicely if he wouldn't mind unscrewing the canvas wardrobe and shoving it in the loft. He takes about an hour of moaning to do the 10 minute job and leaves it in the new cupboard in bits!! I (maybe not so politely by this point) ask him to put it in the loft like i asked, I then go back upstairs to find it dumped in the hallway where i have the chioce of tripping over either it or the hoover I COULD KILL HIM!!!!!!!! Anyone else feel like this?
What ceiling lighting is best for my room theme? I have an antique-modern mix, most of the colors are modern but there are a few contemporary colors too. There is still some things I might change: if I can't get a good look making my desk into a vanity, I'm gonna give it to a family member and then buy an antique vanity and paint it a modern color. If I do that then I'm probably gonna get a little more modern shelving to go with the vanity. And then I'm waiting to get my wardrobe, which is contemporary but gonna be painted a more modern color. And that's really the only things I can think of possibly changing so yeah. Oh if this will help, I have a more medium sized bedroom and the ceiling slants, so it goes from about 9' to 8' or 7 1/2'. Thank you, oh and I'm 13, but I tend to keep a room theme for a while, plus my room is painted so that it is contemporary, so I don't have to really worry about growing out of my room.

A good theme for my bedroom? I have a tiny bedroom, the walls are only as big as the long length of a bed, and will only fit single (or double but then you would just have a room which is a bed, I tried it once, it was cool, but weird and squishy.. long story). I can get a wardrobe and just about a bedside table in too. My favorite color is dark pink, i dont mind leopard print or zebra print. HAS to be at least a bit of pink. since we're renting I cant paint or hammer nails into the walls or start making big squares in the brick for extra shelving units.. Anything to brighten up or new theme? Really bored with my bedoom atm -_-
What else to place in a bedroom besides set? Not too expensive? I recently moved into a new house and my bedroom is quite large compared to what I had previously. It's about 9.5 ft by 16 ft. I've already bought a 6 piece bedroom set which includes two nightstands, bed, wardrobe, dresser and mirror. The problem is that this still leaves a lot of space and I wanted to add something to the room. I just really don't know what. I feel that a shelving unit will look awkward especially since I would have to find one that's only similar to the rest of the set. Any ideas for what else I can add but that's not too expensive?
What impression does this excerpt give? I want to know what impression my character gives you. I don't want "beta" reading, it needs editing, and I know that, I will get that sorted. The main questions are: What impression does my character give you? What do you think of him? What do you think his personality is like? Does he seem up himself, or arrogant, in any way (I want him to seem arrogant) ? Excerpts: He walked further into the flat five minutes later. Sitting on a red sofa in his living room watching the 5’o'clock news, he sipped on a cup of peppermint tea. He picked up the remote and turned it off; the speakers had blown a few weeks ago, so there was no sound anyway. He took another loud sip and put the cup down. His house was immaculate, perfect. He sighed and got up, glancing back at his sofa and placing a blue cushion in the middle. He stared at the cushion for a few moments before walking away, back out into the hallway, and scooped up a book that fell off the shelving unit a few minutes before. He organised everything, everything had to be perfect, even his choice in women. He examined the shelf, searching for the letter “T” and slotted the book into the shelves. He took a step back and looked at it once more before strolling into his room. “What shall I wear, today?” He breathed. He opened his wardrobe and instantly decided, picking out light blue jeans and a yellow and white striped shirt. A few minutes later he left his room and walked into the kitchen, tapping all the while. 2nd (he's in a park, it was described earlier). They thought no one could see them, the branches hung low and the leaves hid them somewhat, but they were still visible. He shook his head as an old man walked past him, limping on his left side quite heavily. One of the branches near the teenagers, that were fumbling about, snapped, exposing them. John got up and walked towards the man, he said. “Do you want any help?”” The old man stopped and glanced to his left, no one was there. He glanced to his right and saw John’s smiling face, the dark look replaced by one of kindness. The man could have sworn the sound had come from the left of him. He narrowed his eyes and limped away. John sighed. No one trusts anyone nowadays, he thought. He glanced over his shoulder, at the tree, and smiled, the teenage boy was now trying to lift the branch. Weakling, he thought. He strode towards them and smiled. He leant down and picked up the branch, it never left the ground, but it was considerably higher than the boy. He passed the end he held to the boy, the boy took it, and went to spit on John. He stood five feet away, too far for the boy to spit, and said. “No.” The boy slowly lowered the branch, grunting the whole time, and spat. “Fuck off, pussy-hole!” John glared at the boy and the boy turned to the girl, probably his girlfriend, and she frowned and walked away from him. Past John, she brushed against him and walked down the hill, and out of sight. John smiled and turned away slowly. The boy stood, speechless, and John could feel the boy’s eyes boring into his black and grey jacket. He stopped a few metres away and sighed. Winter was near, and he hated winter with a burning passion. NOTE: If it's too long, don't bother answering, it really doesn't help when people say that. I know most of the people on at this time will be American, so I'll just say it, some spelling on here may not match yours. They're the way the English spell them (Example: Organised). Also, the teens in one of the excerpts, that's how English kids, in London, are nowadays. John is around twenty-five.
I'm getting my room painted but have no idea what colour. help please (girl teen)? im painting my room as were decorating our whole house. my room is small , rectangle and is about the size of a double bed (i have a single) and it has an indent in the wall were built in shelving was , but i'm turning it into a seating area. I have thought about having one wall brown with pink stenciled birds on the wall to tie in with the pink , but im not sure what to paint the other three walls and the indent. Or anyother paint idea's that include pink , but not too much pink as i am 15. thank you ALOT xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx i would also like a duvet cover that could match from a UK store (links would be great!) and i'm not alloud any new ferniture. ta.
Small Bedroom Ideas For Teen with Child Mind? Okay, Im a 17 year old girl, who loves nothing more than little childish stuff. Fair enough I should be asking more mature stuff, but I can't help the way I feel about things - anyway, I want my room to be redesigned and totally ME! I live in a 3bedroomed semi-detached house UK style - and I have the smallest room which can fit a single bed, small wardrobe, a dresser... And that's it. There's a problem I'm having - there's like, a tiny step near my door... and I cant get rid of it b/c it connects to the stairs ¬.¬" And it's EXTREMELY annoying! What I want in my room is a bed, somewhere for my clothing (I actually don't have a lot of clothes for a teen :/) and a desk, or somewhere to put my TV, Wii, BlueRay with all my games, ordiments, books etc. Oh, I do have shelving, those crazy block ones... I know what I mean.. lol Room colours, I don't mind, its magnolia atm with beach furniture... I just want a good layout! Any ideas at all (Preferably if you know what kind of room I'm on about) I need a lot of help!! Lornzie x
Painting my room black and white advice? I want to paint my room black and white, but i am unsure how to mix the colours together. Okay i was thinking two walls white and two black (my room is a large square shape) But i don't know which walls to paint which. So im going to try and explain the layout of my room. I'm going to say the wall with the door on is the back wall and by forward i mean the way you face coming into the the room. The door is on the far left of the back wall (the corner). and im going to explain my room going clockwise. The left wall- is basically plain except from a few posters and then my wardrobe (built in to the wall) is at the towards the front of my room in the corner (if that makes sense) The forward wall- I have a black chest of draws and a black set of shelves on the left of the wall. then at the centre of the wall i have my TV stand (its fairly big for a bedroom) which is a sort of gray metallic frame but the actual "shelve bits" are glass. In the the corner between the forward and the right wall i have my computer desk which is also metallic frame but the (for lack of a better word) "shelve bits" ar pine wood. Then along on the right wall is my bed (single) with a metallic frame again. With the head touching the back wall. And the window is Centre of this wall. Then to the back wall on the left of my bed (and the centre of my back wall) i have a futon (kind of like a sofa) which has a wooden frame and the the "matressy" bit you sit on is red. and then to the left of that is my door again! (oh and also my ceiling is white and floor is pine wood) Sorry if that was complicated to follow! So my basically my question is which walls should i paint which colour? i want opposite wall to be the same. My first thought was to have the "front" and "back" wall black, however white would contrast the black shelves better and as it is the first thing you would see it may be more inviting to be white. But then if i do that the wall with my window on will be black and may not get enough light. Or should i just do the half of each wall one Colour? (as in top and bottom half). Also i will probably paint my wardrobe doors and my if necessary get new curtains for contrast. Also im 16 and male if it makes a difference. Sorry the question was so long!!! but also has anyone got any general tips for painting such as type of paint to use etc?
Tips on closet storage (from a walk in to barely any closet)? I am moving this month, I currently have a walk in closet with shelving, and three huge rods for hanging storage. I am moving into a home where my closet isn't even as large as a standard bedroom closet. It's probably four feet wide, a few feet deep, but normal height. I am trying to figure out how I am possibly going to organize my clothing and where else I can store them (in the most inexpensive way possible, I'm a student). I've been looking at standing wardrobes but I can't tell which would function the best for every day use and not fall apart. I have a 9-cube cubical thing that I use right now to store knick knacks, books, etc, so I was thinking of using that for clothing and putting the stuff that is on it right now onto shelves. I have an over the door shoe rack already. And over the door hooks for jackets, etc. Maybe under bed storage? Which ones function the best for your money, though? An inexpensive dresser? An armoire would be great, if I could find one at a good price. Any tips would be great, I'm really stressed about how I'm going to make this work. I'm obviously going to get rid of a bunch of clothes, and put off season stuff like in under bed storage or something... Ideally I just need more room for hanging clothes. Thank you in advance!
How should I decorate my new bedroom? It's tiny? We're moving to Seattle and my room in our house there is tiny. I have to get all new furniture for it because we're moving from New Zealand and we can only fit family airlooms in the cargo container. My mum said my budget will be $1500 USD. I have to buy a bed, desk, wardrobe, TV, duvet, EVERYTHING for my room for that much. Here that wouldnt get you very far at all! They said I can get more money later on in the year but thats what I'll have to work on for now. The house is near the city centre but its small. My room is tiny. It's like a little box. I have a VERY small closet so I don't know where I'm going to put stuff. I do have my own bathroom en suite! I dont know much about stores in America to get furniture except Pottery Barn. DIY Ikea storage solution? I have a cubby hole in our wall that is about 5 feet tall, 2 feet deep, and 4 feet wide. I need a shelving unit with doors to put in there to store baskets of household items that are cluttery. I want it to look like a built-in, if at all possible....with legs, if at all possible. Ikea customer service pretty much blows, unfortunately, so I can't find a real person there to help me find what I'm looking for. I've looked under their kitchen cabinets and wardrobes, but can't really find something with doors AND shelves. Does anyone have an affordable suggestion or another place I could look? Thanks.
Does my house sound horrible or nice? PLEASE ANSWER?!? Our house is joined to another house on one side, and half joined on the other side. There is a private alley in between us and the neighbors but they use it more then us. My house starts with a small hallway with cream walls and a brown wooden floor, a glass door leading into the through lounge....the first part is the dining room which has a table, 4 chairs, computer desk, and 2 cupboards & a fireplace, it has cream carpet aswell. Then the other end is beech wooden floor, pink sofa's, tv, another fireplace & a corner cabnet and cream walls. Behind one of the sofa's is a patio door which looks into the small conservatory. Next to the other sofa is a glass door leading into the small kitchen which has sink, oven, hob, small fridge, and a few cupboards. In the kitchen there is a bricked archway leading into the conservatory which has a freezer, tumble dryer and a sofa. Both the kitchen & conservatory are cream walled. The stairs are cream carpet & the hallway upstairs has cream walls and cream carpet with 5 doors. The first door leads into the bathroom with cream tiles, and cream floor tiles, a cream toilet and a cream sink, and a wooden bath with a silver shower in it. Also a glass shelve and a mirrored cabnet upperbove it, and in the toilet a built in cupboard with towels and lotions inside. The first bedroom has cream carpet and lilac walls. It is average sized. The second bedroom has cream walls and cream carpet and 3 sliding mirror wardrobes. The 3rd bedroom has coffee carpet and brown/beige wallpaper. The 4th door is an upstairs cupboard with the boiler inside. We have a loft that has pull out stairs but the loft is not decorated, it has xmas deco is it and things. The garden is small, it has brown decking leading to cream pavement leading to a step that has a shed and some grass. So whats your opinions?
is this a good start for my book? The corpse lay on the bed. Its neck at a crooked angle. The air in the room was pungent and one of the forensic scientists had thankfully opened a window. The body wasn’t discovered for a week before one of the neighbours (the house being a terrace) understandably complained of something having gone off. The flies still buzzed excitedly around the room. I took my notebook to take notes from the sergeant next to me. “Male. Thirty two years of age. Lives alone. Strangulation has been denoted as cause of death, for obvious reasons. No sign of forced entry or struggle to have taken place. For all we know he’s done this to himself.” The sergeant gave a grunt of contempt at this suggestion. I dismissed the sergeant and looked around. The rooms in the house looked perfectly in order. The clothes hung in the wardrobe uniformly. His wallet lay on his bedside table covered in a thin layer of dust, with a fly in a glass of water alongside this, long since dead. In the living room, the books on the shelve on the far side of the room was covered in a thick layer of dust, as well as the knick knacks dotted around the room, suggesting they hadn’t been moved for more than a week, unlike the wallet. The keys to the house which belonged to both the front and back door lay in a heap on the counter in the kitchen. The garden looked wild with weeds and nettles which grew high on the sides of the fence, indicating no possibly entry through the garden. I walked through the living room to get to the front door. The door was made of cheap plastic, which made it easy for the police to gain access to the terrace. Outside, I could see all the houses were in close proximity of each other, from the side of houses I was standing, to across the narrow road to the houses opposite. One of the policemen was interviewing the women who complained of the aroma. “Well he was a quiet sort of person who kept himself to himself. He stayed in most days. It didn’t seem unusual to me that I didn’t see him for a week, nor my husband.” “Do you know if he had any family, friends, that sort of thing?” “No. He didn’t open up to anybody on the street, even when he first moved here” “How long approximately was that, would you say?” “Well, it must have been two years ago now at least” “Do you remember seeing or hearing anything unusual on the night in question?” “No. not at all. Is that all the questions?” “Yes. That’s all the questions. Thank you.” The interviewee look slightly hesitant and then walked quickly back to her house next door.
Which Mama's and Papa's furniture range? I bought the cotbed, wardrobe and changing unit last year out of their summer catalogue. I now want to buy a matching shelving unit but cannot remember the name of the range and it isnt on their website. It is quite darkish wood, the changing unit has double doors underneath with 3 wicker baskets going down the right hand side. I may be wrong but i think it began with L ?? Any help???
